How Our Wool Export Process Works for Your Success

From farm selection to mill delivery, we manage every step with precision, professionalism, and commitment to quality assurance.
STEP 1: Inquiry & Consultation

Requirements Analysis & Consultation

We begin by understanding your specific wool requirements including preferred grade, micron range, yield expectations, quantity needed, and delivery timeline. Our team provides detailed product specifications, current availability, pricing information, and sample arrangements. We discuss shipping terms, payment options, and any special requirements to ensure a perfect match between your needs and our capabilities.
STEP 2: Sourcing & Collection

Farm Sourcing & Wool Collection

Working through our partnership with the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers, we source wool from certified Canadian farms that meet your quality specifications. Professional wool classers grade each fleece according to fiber diameter, length, and quality characteristics. Wool is collected, sorted by grade, and prepared for laboratory testing while maintaining complete traceability documentation from each source farm.
STEP 3: Laboratory Testing

IWTO/AWEX Laboratory Testing & Certification

All wool lots undergo comprehensive testing at accredited laboratories using IWTO and AWEX international test methods. We analyze fiber diameter, coefficient of variation, staple length and strength, yield percentage, vegetable matter content, and color grading. Complete test certificates are prepared documenting all results, providing you with verified quality assurance before shipment confirmation.
STEP 4: Baling & Packaging

Professional Baling & Moisture Protection

Tested and certified wool is professionally compressed into standard bales weighing 120-150 kilograms each. Bales are wrapped in polypropylene or jute fabric with moisture protection to preserve quality during ocean transport. Each bale is clearly labeled with grade identification, batch number, gross and net weight, and test certificate reference number for easy identification and traceability.
STEP 5: Container Loading & Export

Container Loading & Export Documentation

Bales are carefully loaded into 20-foot or 40-foot containers at our Montreal facilities, optimizing space while ensuring secure transport. Our export team prepares complete documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading, Canadian Certificate of Origin, laboratory test certificates, and any additional documents required by your destination country. Customs clearance is arranged and containers are delivered to Port of Montreal for ocean freight.
STEP 6: Shipping & Delivery

Ocean Freight & Destination Delivery

Containers are shipped via reliable ocean freight carriers to your designated destination port. For CIF terms, we arrange complete logistics including freight and insurance. For FOB terms, you coordinate with your preferred freight forwarder. We provide regular shipping updates, tracking information, and all necessary documentation for smooth customs clearance at destination. Typical ocean transit time is three to four weeks depending on destination port.
