Frequently Asked Questions FAQ
What wool grades do you offer?
We offer three grades of 100% Canadian wool:
- Class A Fine Wool – 22 micron (premium knitwear, fine yarn, luxury apparel)
- Class B Medium Wool – 25 micron (apparel, blends, versatile knitwear)
- Class C Crossbred Wool – 27-30 micron (carpets, upholstery, industrial textiles)
All wool is sourced from certified Canadian farms through the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers (CCWG) and other well reputation certified mills.
Is your wool tested and certified?
Yes, all our wool is laboratory tested to IWTO (International Wool Textile Organisation) and AWEX (Australian Wool Exchange) international standards. Each shipment includes complete test certificates showing:
- Fiber diameter (micron)
- Yield percentage
- Staple length and strength
- Vegetable matter content
- Color and brightness ratings
Can I request wool samples before ordering?
Absolutely! We encourage clients and mills to request samples before placing bulk orders. Contact us with your specifications, and we’ll arrange to send representative samples with test certificates. Sample requests are typically processed within 3-5 business days.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard minimum order is one 20-foot container (approximately 12-15 tons) or one 40-foot container (approximately 22-25 tons). For initial trial orders, we can discuss smaller quantities. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
Do you offer greasy wool or scoured wool?
We primarily offer greasy wool (raw, as shorn from sheep), which provides the best value and allows mills to control their own scouring process. Scoured (washed) wool is available upon request for large orders. Semi-processed options (carded or combed) can also be arranged for specific requirements.
