ARADOS Garment & Textile Import and Export

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, ARADOS is a specialized import and export firm with deep expertise in the garment and textile industry. What began as a focused cotton garment importation business has evolved into a diversified textile trading company, now including the export of premium Canadian raw wool to international markets.

With over six years of experience in North American and international trade, we have built a reputation for reliability, quality, and professional service across multiple textile sectors. Our journey from garment importer to wool exporter reflects our commitment to identifying opportunities, building strong partnerships, and delivering value throughout the textile supply chain.

Our Journey: From Garments to Wool

Phase 1: Cotton Garment Importation (2019-2023)

ARADOS was established in 2019 during a pivotal period in the global textile industry. We entered the market as cotton garment importers, sourcing high-quality cotton apparel from major manufacturing hubs in Asia primarily Bangladesh, China, and Vietnam for distribution in North American markets.

Why Cotton?

Our founders recognized cotton’s enduring value as the world’s most trusted natural fiber. Cotton offers unique advantages that continue to resonate with consumers:
Natural and Sustainable: Cotton is biodegradable and returns to the earth naturally, unlike synthetic fibers that persist in the environment for centuries
Consumer Preference: Research shows 75% of consumers are willing to pay more for apparel made from natural fibers like cotton
Quality and Comfort: Cotton’s breathability, softness, and durability make it ideal for both fashion and functional apparel
Market Stability: The global cotton market, valued at $43 billion in 2024, provides a stable foundation for textile trade
Quality and Comfort: Cotton’s breathability, softness, and durability make it ideal for both fashion and functional apparel

Building Expertise

During our initial years, we developed comprehensive knowledge of:
International textile supply chains spanning Asia, North America, and beyond
Quality control and inspection protocols for garment manufacturing
Import logistics, customs procedures, and trade compliance
Relationships with manufacturers, freight forwarders, and distribution partners
Market trends in sustainable fashion and consumer preferences

Navigating Challenges

We successfully navigated significant industry challenges including:
The COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on global supply chains (2020-2021)
Supply chain disruptions and the shift toward supply chain resilience
Changing trade policies and tariff structures
Growing consumer demand for transparency and ethical sourcing
The acceleration of e-commerce and digital transformation
These experiences strengthened our operational capabilities and deepened our understanding of international textile trade.

Phase 2: Expansion into Wool Export (2024-Present)

In recent years, ARADOS identified a compelling opportunity in Canadian wool exports. Canada produces high-quality wool from sheep raised in pristine environments, yet Canadian wool remained underrepresented in international markets compared to Australian and New Zealand wool.

Strategic Rationale

Our expansion into wool export was driven by several factors:
  1. Leveraging Existing Expertise: Our experience in textile trade, quality assurance, and international logistics provided a strong foundation for wool export operations
  2. Market Opportunity: Growing demand from textile mills in India and China for diversified wool sourcing beyond traditional Australian/New Zealand suppliers
  3. Canadian Advantage: Canada’s pristine environment, ethical farming practices, and full traceability offer unique value propositions for quality-conscious mills
  4. Natural Fiber Synergy: Both cotton and wool are natural, sustainable fibers aligned with global trends toward environmental responsibility
  5. Supply Chain Diversification: International mills increasingly seek to diversify their raw material sources for supply chain resilience

Partnership with Canadian Producers

We established a strategic partnership with the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers (CCWG), Canada’s national wool marketing organization. This partnership provides:
Access to pooled wool from certified farms across Canada
Consistent grading standards and quality assurance
Complete traceability from farm to export
Reliable supply and competitive pricing

New Capabilities

To support our wool export operations, we developed:
Laboratory testing partnerships for IWTO/AWEX standard compliance
Wool grading and classification expertise
Specialized packaging and container loading facilities in Montreal
Technical knowledge of wool processing and mill requirements
Market intelligence on global wool trade and pricing

Our Mission

To connect premium Canadian textile products—from cotton garments to raw wool—with international markets, delivering exceptional quality, full traceability, and reliable service that supports our partners’ success.

Our Vision

To become a recognized bridge between Canadian textile resources and global manufacturing centers, known for quality excellence, ethical sourcing, and long-term partnership commitment across multiple textile sectors.
